Liz Prato is the author of three books,  KIDS IN AMERICA: A GEN X RECKONING (essays); VOLCANOES, PALM TREES, AND PRIVILEGE: ESSAYS ON HAWAI‘I, a  New York Times Top Summer Read and a Finalist for the Oregon Book Award; and the short story collection, BABY’S ON FIRE. She also edited the fiction anthology THE NIGHT, AND THE RAIN, AND THE RIVER, and is Editor at Large for Forest Avenue Press.

As an Editor, Liz specializes in developmental editing for essays, short stories, novellas and query letters. She also offers virtual one-on-one coaching sessions on a variety of writing and publishing topics.
